SUMMÀRY:
Objective: to present the life and work of professor Martynyuk V.Z.
The research materials: archival materials of Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University. Publications of scientific and pedagogical activities of professor Martynyuk V.Z., scientific works, abstracts of theses.
Results. The way of life, the scientific and teaching activities of professor Vlas Zaharovych Martynyuk – head of the department of general hygiene of Lviv Medical Institute (1946-1970), the honored worker of science of Ukraine, the pupil of academician A.N. Marzeev, the founder of Lviv scientific and hygienic school have been described.
